Dr. Lax was trained in So. Africa and for 10 yrs ran a clinic in a small remote African village, taking care of the entire pet population, including alligators, horses, monkeys and a wild animal farm.Since opening Bressi Ranch Pet Hospital he has had a booming business because of his dignified personality and his vast knowledge. You immediately feel confident when meeting Dr. Lax. Every service provided here is top notch, including teeth cleaning with people anesthesia.Dr. Lax is a caring, responsible, available vet who always follows up with his patients. My dog needed surgery and Dr. Lax referred us to a great surgery hospital and gave great followup care.He is practical, sympathetic but professional, and just an all around great vet. His facility is first class, and his staff first rate.

Wonderful pet care and follow up with me about any pet illness or injury. Keeps me informed of all necessary vaccines. All staff members are friendly, courteous and professional. Also a great day care center. My dog loves it there.

the motto of Bressi Ranch is "Caring people caring for your pets," and that fits Dr. Kenney completely. From the first my dog and I met her, we both knew she was the one for us. She kept great care of my dog, even as he faded away. She even found me another dog shortly after Beasley left us, and although I did not finally accept that dog I was still grieving I felt it was way beyound her duty as a attending vet to do that. I love her for it and hope she wins this award. She deserves recognition for her kind, caring, professional spirit. I a getting another dog soon and I will see her shortly afterwards, I am sure.

We have been going to Dr. Skaar for over 18 years, and she is a compassionate animal loving vet - and is just as caring for the owners of the animals she cares for. She prolonged the life of our mixed breed male dog with diabetes until age 16 - she gives you time and complete explanation and fair fees. She sees rescue and shelter adoption pets for free the first time, and offers low cost vaccination clinics one a month for her patients with no office fee. She even gives senior discounts. Our new dog Bernie has seen her twice, and is very comfortable with her. She gives advice on health, food, training, and if she cannot treat something or do a particular surgery, she wil refer you to the best place to go for specialists. She has been voted best in Burbank for many years. She also helps out with animal rescues giving freely of her time.
