My cat, Mimi, visited the Cat Hospital of Tucson and Dr. Julie Johnston for the first time recently. Mimi had displayed signs of distress and illness. Dr. Johnston discovered through radiographs and other tests that Mimi had an aggressive form of breast cancer. She was euthanized the following day. Mimi’s veins were so weak that euthanasia was a difficult procedure. Dr. Johnston and her staff handled the situation with grace, empathy, and professionalism. Mimi and I were treated with the utmost respect. The entire staff at the Cat Hospital of Tucson was marvelous in attending to us in such a difficult and sad situation. I am forever grateful.

She will go above and beyond just diagnosis and her favorite treatment but will listen to the owner, work with the owner's ability to afford treatment and the cat's ability to handle the various treatments. She sees things from the cat's viewpoint and will, when describing treatment choices, mention how this will affect the cat mentally, emotionally as well as physically.
