How pet insurance plans are priced

Your plan price will never be affected by claims you file. The three factors that influence the price are:

• Your pet’s age - Because older pets generally have more medical problems than younger pets, their monthly premiums are slightly higher.
• Your pet's breed - Some breeds are more expensive to care for and tend to have more problems, and that is reflected in plan pricing.
• Your location - This is because veterinary expenses in New York City are higher than those in places like Rawlins, Wyoming, for example. The price of your premium reflects those differences.

BestWellness™ routine care coverage

Annual exams and diagnostic testing are the best way to detect disease early. Our BestWellness routine care coverage offers benefits to help pay for teeth cleaning, spay/neuter, vaccinations, annual exams, blood work and more.

BestWellness can be added to any plan for $22 per month and offers more than $400 annually in benefits for dogs and $500 for cats, with no deductible to meet.

Because 100% of your BestWellness benefits are available 14 days after enrollment, BestWellness can only be removed from your plan at annual renewal.

Pet insurance discounts available in most states

We believe that families with multiple pets shouldn't have to choose which pet to insure, so we've made it easier by giving a pet insurance discount of 7% when you enroll multiple pets.

Or, you can receive a 7% discount if you choose to pay for your policy annually. If more than one discount applies to any policy, we will honor the discount with the highest value.
