Each day more and more cat owners realize the importance of cat insurance. While cats are independent, they can also be accident prone and have just as many illnesses as dogs - even if they live indoors.

Some of the most common and costly cat insurance claims Pets Best Insurance sees include:
-
Ingestion of ribbon, string and toys
-
Poisonings (plants, household chemicals, etc.)
-
Renal Failure
-
Hyperthyroidism
-
Diabetes
-
Feline Lower Urinary Tract Disease (FLUTD)
-
Feline Odontoclastic Resorptive Lesions (FORLS is a common oral disease)
-
Cancer
Why do I need cat insurance?
Cat Insurance may help you afford the best veterinary care for your cat, making treatment decisions easier.
What are my plan options for cats?
Our BestBenefit plans cover accidents and illnesses, including cancer, in cats over 7 weeks of age. For routine care coverage, BestWellness can be added for $22 per month, for help paying for preventive care like spay/neuter, vaccinations and blood work.
Cat owners with senior pets or limited budgets may want to consider a Feline Illness Only plan, which covers the diagnosis and treatment of feline illnesses, including diabetes and kidney failure. See the complete list of covered illnesses. In addition to the exclusions listed on What’s Not Covered, Feline Illness does not cover undiagnosed conditions, accidents, routine care, acupuncture, or chiropractic treatment.

How does cat insurance work?
When your cat becomes ill or injured, take her to any licensed veterinarian of your choice. Pay your vet upfront and then submit a claim to us. We'll reimburse your choice of up to 70%, 80% , 90% or 100% of your actual vet bill after a deductible, up to your plan's maximum benefit. We'll even deposit your reimbursement directly into your bank account!
How much does it cost?
Cat insurance prices are based on a variety of factors including the age, location and breed of your cat. Cat insurance plans start at less than $1 a day.
When should I get cat insurance?
Pets Best Insurance has no upper age limits, so you can enroll your kitty as early as 7 weeks of age or any time thereafter. Enrolling your pets when they’re young can help ensure great coverage throughout their lives—but you can sign up older, adopted and rescued cats too. Because we believe older cats deserve the same great coverage as kittens, we don’t reduce or cancel coverage based on your cat’s age.
