Bo recently surprised White House visitorsTo mark the one-year anniversary of President Barack Obama being sworn into office, guests who were on the White House tour were greeted with one of America’s favorite First Family members – Portuguese Water Dog, Bo Obama!

Bo, along with the First Lady Michelle, greeted guests as they gathered on the main floor preparing for the tour, according to USA Today.

Bo apparently enjoyed the crowd so much – getting a little too sniffy with some guests – that Michelle had to call out to him a few times to calm him down. Apparently, one of the nicknames for the first dog is "Bo-meister."

Although Bo was not present during the President’s swearing in, he was a much talked-about topic as media outlets tried to guess what kind of dog the First Family would get and where they would get it from (many speculated that staunch-Obama supporter Oprah would gift the First Daughters with a dog).

After promising to provide proper pet care to the dog, Sasha and Malia got their wish for a pet with Bo’s arrival in April, 2009.ADNFCR-2720-ID-19571882-ADNFCR
