Dr. Dennis Arn selected as winner of My Vet’s the Best Contest, receives $1,000 to treat animals in need

BOISE, Idaho – Pets Best Insurance, a leading U.S. pet insurance agency, announced today that Las Vegas veterinarian Dr. Dennis Arn has been selected as the most recent winner of the company’s nationwide My Vet’s the Best contest. Arn, who has strived to transform Desert Inn Animal Hospital into an elite animal medical center, won the contest for outstanding veterinary service after receiving more than 45 percent of the online votes cast by thousands of people through the Pets Best Insurance website, www.petsbest.com, and the company’s Facebook page.

Arn was among hundreds of veterinarians nominated for the quarterly award, which Pets Best created to honor veterinarians who go above and beyond to keep animals healthy. Arn was nominated for the prestigious award by a decades-long client who touted Arn’s willingness to treat pets when their owners cannot afford procedures, in addition to his innovative utilization of stem cell therapy.

Arn, who bested five other contest finalists in a public vote, received $1,000 from Pets Best to treat animals in need. The pet owner who nominated him for the award received $200.

Pets Best Announces Latest Finalists for National My Vet’s the Best Contest

 Dr. Arn is a finalist in the best veterinarians in the US contest.

BOISE, Idaho – Pets Best Insurance, a leading U.S. pet insurance agency, announced today the most recent quarterly finalists of its My Vet’s the Best contest, which recognizes outstanding veterinarians and provides funding for the treatment of animals in need.

Pets Best Insurance selected the following six veterinarian finalists after receiving nominations from pet owners across the nation:

Dr. William (Bill) Shepard – Camelot Veterinary Services, Uniontown, Pa.

Dr. Salvatore Pernice – Brooklyn Veterinary Group, Brooklyn, N.Y.

Dr. Dennis Arn – Desert Inn Animal Hospital, Las Vegas

Dr. Anna Ferrera – Animal Hospital of Pembroke Road, Hollywood, Fla.

Dr. John Black – Orange Canyon Pet Clinic, Orange, Calif.

Dr. Nancy Matthews – A Cat’s View Veterinary Hospital, Valley Center, Calif.

This is the third consecutive year Pets Best Insurance has recognized the nation’s finest veterinarians with its ongoing My Vet’s the Best Contest. Each year, Pets Best Insurance calls upon pet owners to select the contest’s quarterly winners by voting online. Each winner receives $1,000 to treat animals in need, and the pet owners who nominate each winning veterinarian receive $200 for sharing the stories of their favorite pet doctors.

Dr. Linda Steelman wins latest My Vet’s the Best contest

Boise, Idaho (March 20, 2012) – Pets Best Insurance, a leading nationwide pet insurance agency, announced today that Dr. Linda Steelman of the Bonanza Cat Hospital in Las Vegas has been selected as the latest winner of the company’s nationwide My Vet’s the Best contest. In recognition of her dedication to serving pets in the Las Vegas Valley, Pets Best Insurance awarded Dr. Steelman $1,000 to treat animals in need.

After receiving a nomination from one of her clients, Dr. Steelman competed against five veterinarians from across the nation during the quarterly contest, winning with an impressive 44.2 percent of the online votes cast by the public through the Pets Best Insurance website, www.petsbest.com, and the company’s increasingly popular Facebook page.

Dr. Steelman provides free care and treatment for abused, abandoned and chronically ill cats through The Poppy Foundation, a charitable organization that offers a much-needed home to dozens of felines in the Las Vegas area. Many of these cats are considered unadoptable and would not have access to treatment and shelter without assistance from The Poppy Foundation.

2012 My Vet’s The Best grand prize winner to treat animals in need with prize money

Dr. Ingram, who treats animals at the Phoenix-based All Creatures Animal Hospital, took home the top honors of the 2012 My Vet’s The Best contest, which featured more than 20 finalists from across the country.

Pets Best Insurance Announces Fourth Quarter Finalists of National My Vet’s the Best Contest

Finalists hail from 6 states, previous winner saved stray kitten with contest winnings

Boise, Idaho – (January 17, 2012) Pets Best Insurance, a leading U.S. pet insurance agency, is pleased to announce the finalists for its 2012 fourth quarter My Vet’s the Best nationwide contest. The six finalists are:

  • Dr. Nancy Matthews – A Cat’s View Veterinary Hospital – Valley Center, Calif.
  • Dr. Helen Campbell – Old York Veterinary Hospital – Florence, N.J.

  • Dr. Linda Steelman – Bonanza Cat Hospital – Las Vegas

Hundreds of veterinarians from all over the country receive nominations from pet owners who believe their veterinarian has gone above and beyond the call of duty. Nominations – submitted through the Pets Best Insurance website and the company’s Facebook page – include heartwarming and at times harrowing tales of why people believe their vet is the best. The fourth quarter nominations were narrowed down to the six finalists by an internal review panel at Pets Best.

Voting on the six finalists is open to the public through Feb. 10, 2013. Voting polls can be found on the Pets Best Insurance website, at http://forms.petsbest.com/vote/and on the company’s Facebook page (www.Facebook.com/PetsBestInsurance). Pets Best encourages everyone to cast their vote to determine which of the six finalists should win the fourth-quarter title. The winner will receive $1,000 to treat animals in need, and the nominator will receive $200 as a thank you for sharing their story.
