How does dog insurance work?

It’s easy! Get a pet insurance quote online, select a plan and a deductible and observe the waiting periods. When your dog becomes ill or injured, take her to any licensed veterinarian of your choice. Pay your vet upfront and then submit a claim to us. We’ll reimburse up to 80% of your actual vet bill, after a deductible, up to your plan’s maximum benefit. We’ll even deposit your reimbursement directly into your bank account.

How much does it cost?

Dog insurance prices are based on the age, location and breed of your dog. Pet insurance plans start at less than $1 a day.

When should I get dog insurance?

Pets Best Insurance plans have no upper age limits, so you can enroll your puppy as early as 7 weeks of age or any time thereafter. Enrolling your pets when they’re young can help ensure great coverage throughout their lives, but you can sign up older, adopted and rescued dogs too. We believe older dogs deserve the same great coverage as puppies, so we don’t reduce or cancel coverage based on your dog’s age.
